How do you protect my lawn and landscaping from heavy equipment during a removal?

Our crews use specialized ground protection mats and high-reach cranes to lift heavy wood sections directly over obstacles, minimizing impact on your turf. This approach prevents soil compaction and “ruts” often caused by traditional dragging or heavy machinery.

What happens to the wood and debris once the job is finished?

We provide complete site cleanup, including hauling away all branches and wood for sustainable repurposing into mulch or biofuel. If you prefer to keep the wood for your own firewood use, we can cut it into manageable lengths and stack it neatly on your property upon request.

Can you perform tree pruning or removals during the winter months?

Yes, winter is often the ideal time for major tree work because the frozen ground provides extra protection for your lawn and landscaping. Additionally, pruning many species during dormancy helps prevent the spread of diseases like Oak Wilt and Dutch Elm Disease.

Do I need to be present on-site while the arborists are working?

You do not need to be home as long as our crews have clear access to the trees and any pets or outdoor furniture have been moved. We will perform a final walkthrough of the site to ensure the area is clean and the work meets our quality standards before we depart.

Patrick arrived when he said he would and was very professional. Did a thorough evaluation of our project and provided us with a transparent quote. We have decided to hire them for a tree removal/stump grinding over the winter. I had made a post on FB asking for recommendations; they had the most and we are happy to hire them!

3rd time we've hired Bratt. They are professional, quick, fairly priced. Do a good job of cleaning up the worksite afterward, too.

Becky Hall

The guys just finished up here and did a SUPER PRO job, removing a sad maple tree quickly and leaving very few traces of the work they’d done, aside from sawdust. The crew addressed our requests respectfully and offered helpful advice about other trees on our property. We received three quotes for this work and I think Bratt wound up delivering the best value for the price, especially considering that one of the quotes was almost $1k more.

I would hire Bratt Tree again in a heartbeat! Thanks guys!
