I had a good experience with Andrew Linn and his crew today. My white paper birch tree is in a tight spot in my back-yard, and they were able to carefully prune the tree as well as install a cable between large branches. The crew even removed a few more branches for me after the work was completed. I will use Bratt Tree again.

A Bratt Tree arborist identified a treatable disease on one of my fir trees. Over the course of 3 treatments, a technician came out and sprayed the treatment on the tree. No hassle; they notified me they were coming, though I didn’t need to be home, and did the work.

Hayden from Bratt Tree Service came out today to look at our large silver maple, which has lost two big branches over the past couple of years. We wanted to know what it would take to preserve the tree and what removal would cost. Hayden was friendly and professional, walked us through our options, and even brought treats for our dogs.

We got several estimates, and Bratt's was the quickest to arrive, offered the most options, and came in lower than the others. They also offered discounts for scheduling the work outside the summer season. Highly recommend, and we'll update this review once the work is done.

Eric and his team did a great job trimming our tree! They carefully worked around power lines, fences and flower planters that could not be moved. The yard and the apron behind the garage were perfectly cleaned up. Our trees are in better shape.

Fair, timely, clear communication

Ian was helpful to indicate ways we could improve the health of our bushes and trees. He seemed very knowledgeable as to the diseases that might be affecting our different bushes. He was not pushy, just listened and suggested areas that Bratt could help. He took time to walk all around our yard. Afterwards, he stayed in his vehicle and figured out the cost for each of the line items. It was nice to immediately know what everything would cost.

The guys from Bratt Tree did a great job trimming our 2 large trees. They were professional and highly skilled. Taylor was careful, knowledgeable, and amazingly precise using heavy equipment to get high up and in between branches. Bratt tree did an excellent job! I just moved to Minneapolis and my house has a huge maple tree in the front yard. Several branches were growing into the overhead power lines above my driveway. Excel energy does not take care of branches that only go to your house. I contacted four tree companies. Two never sent me an estimate after coming out. One company was scheduled five weeks out. Bratt sent me a detailed estimate and their insurance certificate right away. The day after I signed the estimate, three crew showed up with the basket truck and cleared all the dangerous branches in about an hour.

Excellent job! I had a little leaf Linden that needed some trimming. They were able to trim and open it up without sacrificing the overall shape of the tree. We also had a treatment applied to slow down the canopy growth as our tree is located below power lines. I appreciated that recommendation.

The tree I had removed was up against a fence and they didn’t think they were going to be able to cut down any lower than the fence line but they went almost all the way to the ground! I have had Bratt Tree crews come out several times for rounds of tree removals and stump grindings. They have always cleaned up after themselves really well and done a nice job. Communication is generally good and pricing is fair. I appreciate their hard work. Shoutout to John in particular!

TJ Carlson provided excellent customer service from start to finish. He arrived early, greeted me warmly, and took the time to discuss exactly what we wanted done. We had previously worked with TJ on the bid to remove our bur oak, and Bratt Tree did such a great job that we called them again to discuss pruning our fruit trees and lilac tree.

Just as before, TJ listened carefully and asked thoughtful questions to make sure he understood our needs. Before leaving, he reviewed the bid, clearly explained the steps and process, asked about my availability, and confirmed the best contact information.

A very large silver maple fell on house, Bratt Tree did excellent expedited removal of the tree so roof could be tarped and boarded. And now a few days later the company's stump removal grinding workers removmmed the stump...were careful to clean up and leave the site in good condition. Competent, knowledgeable and good value for excellent work.

I’ve used Bratt tree for all of my big jobs over the past few years. Yes, I have put the ladder at its highest setting and tried to pole saw myself.. works for thin but not for thick. They get the job done and I always like their guys. It’s really expensive though. For a broken branch off a silver Maple stuck up high up over the roof top it was $1000. It was the in between of the 4 quotes I received.. but I’ve used them before so I stuck with them. Make sure you have ALL cutting including preventative stuff done at the same time because it’s more expensive to have them haul equiptment out twice. When it’s as hot as it is today, make sure you offer to hydrate them. Spray them down and whatnot. They like Fresca;) and will reward you with talk about ur trees! Shout out Francisco and Ross!

Bratt is competitive and professional. I’ve coordinated with Ian for a range of services on different properties over the years and will continue to be my go to. Francisco and Ross were on my most recent project and they called when on site, they made sure access and concerns were communicated and used care to ensure an extremely large and risky rotted maple was taken down safe and clean.

We just had Dave from Bratt Tree come to evaluate our dying tree. He came up with a solution to prolong it's life safely. We were very impressed with his professionalism.

I have four mature trees that needed pruning because some branches were rubbing against the house and garage, and the trees had become generally overgrown.
The Bratt Tree Service crew arrived on time and explained what they planned to cut, what they would leave, and why. They worked carefully and deliberately, and when they were finished, they walked me through what they had done while going over the bill.
I asked if they could remove a couple of additional branches, and they took care of those as well.
I was very pleased with the work and highly recommend Bratt Tree Service.

Excellent experience with TJ Carlson at Bratt Tree — this is the second time he's been out to our property, and he's been outstanding both times. The first visit was for an estimate on a massive dead Burr Oak (about 52 feet tall with a 58-foot crown, likely 150+ years old). TJ inspected it thoroughly and walked us through every option for the removal in detail, nothing felt rushed or glossed over. Most recently, we had him back out for a tree in our front yard that also needs to come down, and he was just as thorough — full inspection, clear explanation of the process and options. TJ is knowledgeable, patient, and clearly takes pride in doing the job right. Highly recommend him and Bratt Tree.

Since I lived in the local area of Crystal they were able to give me a good price well under what other companies quoted for more services.

Everything went well except for one thing. The ferns behind the garage got pretty decimated but it was a small area they erected working in ferns grow pretty rampantly so I’m not worried about it.

Requested certified arborist visit to access a couple of oaks for potential issues and to get an estimate for winter pruning. Received detailed assessment of all tree health in yard. Discussed whether any were hazards and prone to disease given age etc.
Hayden was the professional that came. She did not rush; explained everything she saw; and answered all my questions. She also did not oversell explaining things she felt were not needed or could be put off to manage costs.
Very impressed. Have used company multiple times for trimming, tree removal and treatment services. Reliable, trustworthy and very careful with landscaping, yard art, etc.

The arborist Hayden was extremely knowledgeable and personable. She discussed our trees and addressed our concerns in a very clear and understandable fashion. She put our concerns and desires first, explaining the pros and cons of her recommendations and how they fit with our overall plan for our yard. Highly recommended. We have not yet decided on the service or price yet or had any service provided beyond the initial meeting with the arborist so cannot comment on any other aspects of the service.

Ross & crew did any amazing job. So fast, thorough and clean up was impeccable! I’d recommend them for any tree needs. Bratt process was very efficient and smooth from the estimate to the tree clean up. Great communication. Highly recommend! I’ll be in touch again in a few years when they trees grow out again.

Bratt Tree removed a small, dead tree from my front yard. They showed up on time, cut the tree down and removed all of the debris. They worked in the pouring rain, and still made sure the job was done right!
John Carpenter, of Bratt Tree, came a few days later to grind out the stump. He did an excellent job. The stump is gone, and he cleaned up all of the debris.
I wood definitely recommend Bratt Tree.
