Bratt Tree began in 1991 when founder Jon Bratt turned a passion for honest work and healthy trees into a family business rooted in integrity and craftsmanship. His dedication to doing things the right way helped the company grow into a trusted name across Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
In 2017, Jon’s son-in-law, Connor Walsh, stepped forward to carry that vision into a new generation. With the same care and determination, he introduced modern equipment and innovative techniques that made our work safer, faster, and more precise while keeping the heart of the company unchanged.
For more than three decades, Bratt Tree has remained a proud family-owned business built on relationships, reliability, and respect. Excellent work by Bratt Tree removing a massive 58-foot burr oak with an 11-foot diameter trunk from our property — definitely not a small job! The whole crew arrived early, introduced themselves, and walked us through the process before starting so we knew exactly what to expect.
They worked safely and professionally throughout, protecting both themselves and our property. The removal took about 5-6 hours, and afterward they cleaned up completely — yard, driveway, and alley all left spotless.

A very large silver maple fell on house, Bratt Tree did excellent expedited removal of the tree so roof could be tarped and boarded. And now a few days later the company's stump removal grinding workers removmmed the stump...were careful to clean up and leave the site in good condition. Competent, knowledgeable and good value for excellent work.

I’ve used Bratt tree for all of my big jobs over the past few years. Yes, I have put the ladder at its highest setting and tried to pole saw myself.. works for thin but not for thick. They get the job done and I always like their guys. It’s really expensive though. For a broken branch off a silver Maple stuck up high up over the roof top it was $1000. It was the in between of the 4 quotes I received.. but I’ve used them before so I stuck with them. Make sure you have ALL cutting including preventative stuff done at the same time because it’s more expensive to have them haul equiptment out twice. When it’s as hot as it is today, make sure you offer to hydrate them. Spray them down and whatnot. They like Fresca;) and will reward you with talk about ur trees! Shout out Francisco and Ross!

Bratt is competitive and professional. I’ve coordinated with Ian for a range of services on different properties over the years and will continue to be my go to. Francisco and Ross were on my most recent project and they called when on site, they made sure access and concerns were communicated and used care to ensure an extremely large and risky rotted maple was taken down safe and clean.
